Temomi is unique hand processing techniques developed in Japan before machine processing.  After steaming tea leaf in a steamer, skilled temomi processors go through a series of rolling processes to finally shape beautiful needle shaped green tea.  Temomi processing is still used in Japan by skilled masters and students for artistic pursuit.

We invited Temomi hand processing masters from Kyoto, Japan and had a workshop in Hilo, Hawaii on June 23 and 24.  Here are some photos from the workshop.
